OMG, Space Jam 2 Is So Bad [Rantview]
I found myself sitting in the movie theater just cringing for almost 2 hours. This movie is so bad. Here are my thoughts:
Story
I remember watching the first Space Jam as a kid. It starts off with little Michael Jordan playing basketball in the backyard. His Dad approaches him and little Michael talks about his goals, dreams and that he wants to be the best. And his Dad tells him that he can do it! Young Michael looks at the hoop and starts running towards it. Then he jumps …cut through a video compilation …and he becomes the Michael Jordan as we know him. What I’m trying to say is that the scene was inspiring and motivating for a young person, while in this “new” Movie little 12-year old Lebron James gets yelled at by his coach for playing video games. He tells little Lebron to not play video games and instead start “working” on his basketball game. It was not a motivational speech. It was pretty much the opposite. “Kids, start working! Make some money, because your mom … she can’t afford … things. “ And that pretty much sets off the whole theme of the movie. The main premise is that Lebron is a bad father because he keeps telling his kids the same garbage his coach told him. Anyways, the plot goes on with…
